The outcry that Hinduism is in danger due to the spread of other religions in the country overlooks the fact that the true threat lies within the Hindu community . The custodians of Sanatana Dharma often fail to understand and practice it in its true sense and spirit. Hinduism is not a religion, but a Dharma - a righteous way of living based on the principles of conduct: Dharma, Artha, Kama, and Moksha.
The timeless wisdom of Sanatana Dharma, rooted in the Vedas and Upanishads, requires a modern renaissance to revive its principles and values. This ancient philosophy encompasses spiritual growth, self-awareness, and harmony with nature, necessitating a renewed focus to address contemporary challenges.
However, the onus lies within the Hindu community. If we don't read, study, understand, and practice Sanatana Dharma ourselves, its universal appeal and reach will remain elusive. Core principles like inclusiveness, non-violence, patience, non-attachment, and compassion are often neglected in practice. We merely talking, understanding and practicing religion at the surface level of our ego will hamper its purpose and benefits at a fundamental level.
Before claiming to be practitioner and promoters of Sanatana Dharma, we must introspect and embody these values. A Sanatana Renaissance will help create a more balanced, sustainable, and meaningful existence, aligning modern life with the eternal principles of Sanatana Dharma. This will happen through practices at our homes as daily routine, appropriately incorporating it in our education system and through promotional activities within the community and outside communities.
But, if we leave its revival and protection to any government, it's a weakness that will be exploited by them to serve political gain. Job of the government is to govern in accordance with Raj dharma. If the government becomes religious it is a violation of raj dharma and against Sanatana Dharma. Another danger is that for them religion can become merely a means to an end. Sanatana Dharma is eternal and its survival and promotion remain in the hands of the people. Whosoever reads and practices it will experience its beauty and fruits.
Sanatana Dharma is a person's quest to seek the meaning of their existence. It's a guide and manual to lead a life of fulfillment, with an inbuilt purpose to attain a state of bliss - true liberation in the real sense.
In today's world, Sanatana Dharma is the need of the hour. The world yearns for its timeless ideals, which can foster peaceful coexistence among all beings. Embracing these principles will lead to global appreciation and acceptance.
Sanatana Dharma's emphasis on love, compassion, and harmony is its unique strength. Coexistence is the foundation of this philosophy, and its absence will only lead to conflict, insecurity, and hatred – antithetical to the very essence of Sanatana.
As we strive to revive and practice Sanatana Dharma in its true spirit, let us remember that love prevails over everything. This is our greatest gift to humanity, and the world will benefit from our collective efforts to spread love, peace, and harmony if we practice and promote it in the right way.
